Antal Pusztai

Antal Pusztai was born in Györ (Hungary) in 1978. After the first guitar lessons by his father he studied classical guitar in Frankfurt am Main (Stephan Werner), Wien (Inge Scholl Kremmel, Alvaro Pierri).

His musical education was completed at masterclasses of Ede Roth, Ivan Folk and Attila Remenyi. Already during his studies he started to compose guitar music wich is influenced by several styles in between classic, jazz and world music.

Antal Pusztai is playing concerts in all over Europa and in the USA. He is playing concerts with Pat Metheny, Miguel Delagin and Szakcsi Lakatos Bela.

Antal Pusztai ist ein junger Ausnahmevirtuose der akustischen Gitarre, der sowohl Jazz als auch Klassik in Vollendung zur Aufführung bringt. Er ist 1978 in Ungarn geboren und begann im Alter von 7 Jahren mit dem Gitarrespielen. Seinen ersten Unterricht erhielt er von seinem Vater. Er studierte am Konservatorium in Wien bei Inge Scholl Kremmel, an der Hochschule Gyõr bei Ede Roth und an der „Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien“ bei Konrad Ragossnig und Alvaro Pierri.

Neben seiner umfangreichen solistischen Tätigkeit spielt Antal Pusztai in diversen Jazz Band und im Duo mit Miguel Delaquin.

Antal Pusztai weiß mit seinen lebendigen Eigenkompositionen, seiner unglaublichen Virtuosität und dem lyrischen Gitarrenspiel die Fachwelt und sein Publikum gleichermaßen zu begeistern. Er erhielt zahlreiche Erste Preise bei internationalen Jazz- und Klassikwettbewerben. Darunter:
